[b]This comment is a little hard to fully believe.[/b] First, although there have definitely been racial incidents at Churchill, I have never seen the kids openly disparage other students because of their race. Secondly, Churchill has a very large Asian population and many participate in various sports. [b]My DS, who is white[/b], has plenty of Asian friends at school. He doesn't pick friends on the basis of their skin color.[/quote]

As parents and students acknowledged at the PTA meeting, you never forget the first time you hear the n word and students have heard it through middle school and at Churchill.  I am sure the same goes for any student who is disparaged or made fun of because of their race.  Perhaps because you and DS haven't had these experiences because you are white.  [/quote]
