Stop bashing Pat O'Neil.  She won, and got more votes than any other candidate.  Lynn lost, get over it.  And, wasting money on more consultants for this particular study was the student board member's idea.  [b]Who decided 17 year olds should have any say, let alone an actual vote on what happens to 160,000+ kids?[/b]   And after they leave and get into the college of their choice after making a name for themself over a controversial issue? Pat O'Neill added the amendment that said this would go back to the board for approval before moving forward, so they could see what the bids come in at before moving forward.  Sounds fiscally responsible to me.  It is the MCPS staff that makes the bad decisions, withholds and gives misinformation to the board.
