Actually, the student he replaced is just one of those dime-a-dozen cookie-cutter applicants with perfect SAT scores, 4.5 GPAs, captain of three clubs, tennis (or insert other sport) prizes, violin (or insert other instrument) prizes, internship at (insert research lab, uncle or dad's friend's company, etc.) and a passion for changing the world through the nonprofit staffed by classmates in need of volunteer hours that he/she started to help (insert URM). They get hundreds, if not thousands of those every year, so one more or one fewer ain't gonna make any difference. [/quote]
