They're planning on turning themselves in to ask for asylum.  That's hardly "sneaking."

Have you actually talked to any of them?  Or listened to reporters' interviews with any of them?  Heartbreaking stories of murder and rape and threats and traumatized children.

From what I know about asylum, you're supposed to turn yourself in to the first safe country you enter.  Country-shopping isn't the point of asylum.  If that's true, the fact that they traversed Mexico without turning themselves in will speak against them.[/quote]
You're exactly right. They're in Mexico now. They lose their asylum status coming from Mexico to the U.S.[/quote]
