I agree. But it’s cl at those making the call are adults who care more about student safety than popularity.

Frankly I don’t understand why closures are always an issue for parents. You know it’s a reality every year. I’d think you’d be a PARENT and put backup in place for YOUR child. [/quote]

People have a plan and it often involves unplanned leave and they get frustrated at using leave for no reason thereby preventing it from being used for others things. Or they are frustrated with bosses saying  "out again? Planning to work this month at all?"
