Inability to pay (due to insufficient financial aid package or whatever) is pretty much the only reason you can get out of an ED or SCEA commitment. EA (early action) is generally not binding. But this stuff changes somewhat year to year. It may be a whole different game by the time you middle schooler applies. [/quote]
