This is the proper time for that child to get into counseling and maybe get the help that they need to avoid another national newsworthy violence scenario.  Issues like these don't usually resolve themselves peacefully.  Children who get to this point usually have some sort of situation that the parents either ignore or don't recognize and they don't take action early to prevent the situation from worsening.  This boy-child needs help, NOW.  Reporting such incidents to the police will get the child the help he needs and make the parents aware of the situation.

And for those know-it-alls who think they can always spot the warning signs, here's a little test.  Tell me, do you pass?
