NVA/Loudoun is a has been.
When our fav TD and Coach invites their fav departing NVA 2011 to an NVA 09 showcase instead of 2011 that are staying….. it doesn’t make parents or DDs happy. Word is out… and you may end up losing more players to MD ECNL/Any Ga club if folks are pissed enough. Def seems weird to those who have been here for a while. Keep up the good work.
Don’t be mad because your DD isn’t good enough to play ECNL. Have fun in GA! LOL
lol. These parents. College coaches don’t look at the league name or badge. Keep chasing the badge, it does not mean a thing in recruitment. You have better chances of getting recruited as an impact player than a bench warmer. Be it ECNL or GA. Look for a team with a good coach and an environment where your kid gets challenged constantly and get opportunities to develop. The badge does not matter.
unfortunately this is not true. ECNL had locked down college pathway. However within 2-3 years its going to be MSLN and GA. Boys side is what drives it all, and ECNL has been decimated.
This is a pipe dream because no girl parent of a U-14 or higher is willing to be the guinea pig on college recruiting from GA. So it’s up to the U-14 girls to jump ship to GA - and guess what - those parents won’t be willing either and so on and so forth. All NVA girls jumping ship to ECNL clubs if they can for this reason. If GA is going to take over it will be from the current U-11 parents …which means any take over is at least 5 years away of ever.
Again, you are not getting the point. U14/U15, it is development that matters. If you are not an impact player in an ECNL team or any team, forget it. Jumping ship to ride the bench is not a good solution because the player development takes a hit. College Coaches look at the impact player who is going to help their team, not badges. An impact player in a non GA or ECNL team with the required skills will get recruited over a bench rider in either league. How will a kid play in a 30 player roster in VDA for example? Keep chasing badges. Not good.
Chasing badges to sit the bench. Good plan! Ha!
