The purposes of those military bases are to secure oil routes, protect allies, counter terrorism, and [b]deter Iran and other regional threats [/b]under the US Central Command (CENTCOM) framework.  Yes, Israel is one of those allies - but so is the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, and Jordan.  Your fixation on and hatred of Israel is noted.[/quote]

1) Which are those other regional threats that you think so highly of?
2) Without the Israel mafia, the US wouldn't need to ally with any of those other countries.

I know that for us, that is so long ago and who cares but Iranians have been on a 75 year long odyssey of oppression since then and yes, the shah regime was also horrific and oppressive and he wasn't a king like Charles- he was US installed dictator who was called king b/c Iranians are culturally super bougie so it sounded better.   this is all Blowback,  we did something truly horrible and we have to bear the consequences somewhat for what our government did, that isn't saying teh Iranians government doesnt suck- they do- but it is our fault. the CIA's decisions to arm mullahs in the postcolonial period has really bad consequences. Iran dos seem like a happy happy joy joy nation because at least it seems like a nation of courage. The people are on the streets singing their natioank anthem and still crying about the dead schoolgirls. When our kids get killed in school shootings? Do we even remember the names? Do you not see the way they lionize their military and fallen? Meanwhile our government doesn’t even want to show the coffins coming back and are hiding the casualties. I see more pride flags than Us flags these days. There’s no nationalism or hope in this country anymore. Just doom and gloom [/quote]
