Almost everything Israel did not want us now guaranteed to happen. The unpopular Iranian regime will gain in popularity, moderates will be discredited, nukes will definitely be former. They pushed the country even further to the right
This is a ridiculous post. Notice - not one - NOT ONE - of Iran's allies came to their defense when they were being pummeled by Israel. Not China. Not Russia. Not one of their proxies. In reality, Iran has become a pariah.
I don’t think they needed to. That’s kinda the point. Israel needed America. Iran didn’t need anyone. That’s embarrassing. I can’t imagine what Putin thinks seeing the mental instability of our strike then hide
If you think Iran was successful in the 12 day war, then you must be living in Iran and are subject to the propaganda of its leaders.
100%. Iran got hammered. Their air defenses apparently totally ineffective, their leadership decapitated. Big ouch.
And what did Israel accomplish?? Nothing. What is Israel plan? Israel can not even competently occupy Gaza. How is a country as small and weak as Israel going to beat Iran? I would love to see Israel try to invade Iran. Knock yourself out. This failure is the end of Bibi. He will be gone in 2 months.
Actually, Israel has accomplished quite a lot since they were attacked. Hamas is more or less gone. All of their leadership has been killed. Same with Hezbollah in Lebanon. The Assad regime in Syria was toppled, ensuring that Iran can no longer supply its proxy armies in the region. Iran itself has been seriously weakened by recent strikes. Their air defense is gone. Most of the rocket launchers have been destroyed. Many Iranian generals and nuclear scientists have been eliminated. Their nuclear weapons program has been at minimum seriously degraded. Iran is not much of a regional threat anymore. And both Lebanon and Syria have signaled they will be signing the Abraham Accords together with Saudi Arabia. It's been a very good 18 months for Israel and the Sunni Middle East.
The regional landscape has indeed changed for the better. The question is whether it has changed sufficiently. Jordan and Egypt have been coexisting peacefully w/Israel for years now, but whether the terror groups are willing to transform themselves into forces for peace and prosperity instead of remaining engines of violence and self-destruction remains to be seen.
Better only for Israel while leaving death, destruction and destabilization elsewhere. But of course who cares about all those dead black and brown folk with millions of casualties.
Nobody cares about the Hamas and Hezbollah casualties. The civilian collateral damage is unfortunate but inescapably part of war. Don't want such casualties? Don't start a war.
Agreed, but has anyone tried explaining that to the leadership in Israel?
