Let's get back to the topic at hand, shall we. There is an upcoming Open House this weekend. Please attend if you are able. Lots of boys and school reps will be there, maybe even some parents. They can help answer a lot of your questions.
If you show up in your travel soccer or club lacrosse uniform, even better. STA is now aggressively seeking student athletes, emphasis on a capital A.
STA may well be aggressively seeking student athletes, but just playing on a club isn't any guarantee that a player will be an impact player at the HS level. Participation in youth club sports is a better proxy for parental influence and bank account than high level athletic ability. Also, with respect to soccer specifically, I wouldn't assume that playing soccer will put a thumb on the admissions scales -- by definition, the best soccer players will be playing for the Academy club programs and cannot even play soccer for their high school. Athletic recruiting for someone who might very likely never play a sport (or their best sport) for your school would not seem to be a reasonable allocation of resources (with resources being "chips" in the admissions process).
