You're funny.  The purposes of those military bases are to secure oil routes, protect allies, counter terrorism, and [b]deter Iran and other regional threats [/b]under the US Central Command (CENTCOM) framework.  Yes, Israel is one of those allies - but so is the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, and Jordan.  Your fixation on and hatred of Israel is noted.[/quote]

Only in your dreams. The purpose of those bases was to protect Israel. This was shown during the war. Israel was protected, every other gulf state was severely damaged by the Iranians and the strait was closed. The US kept an aircraft carrier group off Israel’s cost.
