Because the family is important.  And there’s no way their daughter could have made a series of bad choices (getting wasted, swimming in the ocean in the dark wasted, etc) that may have resulted in her demise.  So it has to be someone else’s fault.  [/quote]

Maybe it's like that saying- you can take the Indian out of India, but you can't take the Indian out of them (or something like that)? You can substitute another country, it could probably apply to other immigrants or countries as well. Maybe their Indian community wherever they may live cares? [/quote]
