If Mitch McConnell is smart he will allow the Senate to vote on a bill to avoid all future shutdowns by having an automatic CR if an appropriation bill does not pass by a funding deadline. We need to stop allowing our federal government to be held hostage to the whims of any one Senator or the President. I wish we had learned this lesson after Ted Cruz paralyzed the nation in 2013.[/quote]
