Yes, because he's now ruling entirely by fear. He has ordered any oligarch in position of power who voices the least doubt, thrown out of windows or otherwise assassinated, to avoid a coup d'etat. His new laws restricting freedom of speech have pulled tons of people into jail, some of whom were sent to the front to fight. An entire generation of young men is being traumatized in Ukraine, because they are being forced to kill innocent people.

You are not entirely correct. The Russians have no special love for Putin but that's not the reason there won't be a revolution. The reason is that life in Russia is not so bad if you have a job, a place to live, a family and all the creature comforts.  They don't care about political restrictions because most of them don't have an interest in politics. [/quote]

You are describing pre 2022. It’s becoming much more real for many more people now. It’s like watching a train wreck. People who were oblivious are now, ahem, worried.
