I truly hope that Savannah did not end up paying the ransom due to lack of communication especially now that it seems obvious the ransom was fake.
I hope that's not her in a ski mask.
You think one of the most well known news show anchors in the country possibly kidnapped her own mother? Like, you genuinely think there's a chance Savannah thought "My face is blasted all over television every morning but what the heck? I probably won't be recognized"? You think she didn't know her own mother had a ring camera? To say nothing of the fact they've already accounted for the fact she was in NY when this happened? I swear to God true crime has caused mass hysteria.
Np here, I don't believe Savannah is involved but let's not act like the wealthy and famous have not murdered family members and even engaged in elaborate coverups. The typical motive is money - greed. So while I don't think Savannah herself is involved I wouldn't be surprised at all if it turns out a family member is involved.
Of course, but that poster was suggesting that the figure in the ski mask is Savannah herself which is just absurd. The woman isn't stupid, there's no way she thought "I'll go put on a ski mask and fiddle around right in front of my mom's door camera oh and btw I'll be done killing my mom and hiding the body on Sunday all in time for the Today Show bright and early Monday morning. Also everyone in America knows exactly what my face looks like because I've been on TV every morning for 20 years." It's beyond laughable that this person thinks there's even a chance. Rich and famous people definitely do bad things but there's no way Savannah is dumb enough to think she could get away with this and I'm also doubtful her siblings would attempt it knowing the scrutiny it would bring. My money would be on a family friend or hired help. Landscaper or handyman.
She was also at home in New York with her own family on the night that this happened, so there is that minor detail to consider.
