Back to the subject: my problem with Prep? They accept too many boys who are not accepted at other schools in the area.
This is obviously a troll. I have a good friend in a Admin position at Prep. and says that most Prep boys do NOT apply elsewhere. That makes sense to me given the unique Catholic niche Prep, fills. But good try troll.
I don't believe this. Every school is by definition unique. Prep is hardly unique in filling a "Catholic niche" given the existence of Gonzaga, which is also Jesuit, the Heights, which is also suburban, St. Anselms, which also has a great academic reputation, and St. Johns, not to mention Paul VI and the various diocesan schools such as Good Counsel, Ireton, and O'Connell. Maybe most Prep boys don't apply top STA or Landon b/c their families prefer Catholic schools (although I know one boy who applied to both Prep and Landon), but I would be very surprised if all of those families who want a Catholic education for their sons are willing to put all their eggs in one basket and end up at public if their son is not admitted.
