I think parents aren't urging more activity on a new high school partly because they can't believe their kid is ever going to be in high school. But also, a lot of the agitation comes from North Arlington, which managed to get its way on moving HB and creating a neighborhood school that they have to drive to. I suspect that they are expecting a similar level of accommodation when it's time for high school and they aren't thinking about the fact that APS is just plain out of land.
Hello have you been sleeping? We are going to have more than 2600 extra HS students even with additions etc. What do you think we should do? Also I live on the same street as hb woodlawn now so I guess we'd be sending our kids there and wslking to it. BTW never involved in that discussion always just figured we'd take the bus to swanson. My oldest is still in preschool. Just learned about all of this recently. But after hearing about the huge overcrowding I think the county needs to do spend the money across the majority of aps students, not just 775 at hb.
