I'm divorced and it's really delusional to think any kid even in the best of situations wants two homes. Every kid fantasizes that their parents would be back together. Period. so selfish to even say, but divorced people talk like that all the time. It was a mistake. Own it. Life isn't perfect for anyone.
Oh, I knew somebody who loved two homes. My kid loved having two homes while we were married. Home and the weekend place. Now she has three. She doesn't really love having three. She says she loves having two main homes (plus the weekend place) and two rooms all her own. She'll tell you it is because she has more space for her stuff and time with both parents and isn't that so cool. But the real reason is that our family home before the separation was toxic - so toxic that I once had to ask her if she was thinking of harming herself. OP is an idiot. My divorce was not because of infidelity, but her glibness about the two homes thing is just off the charts.
