So they will be "uprooted" twice no matter what. I don't think anyone expects that a significant number of families are going to find permanent housing near ANY of the shelters. Do you seriously think they are looking for permanent housing on New York Avenue near the motels? Do you think they all lived right next door to DC General before they became homeless? Affordable housing is a problem all over the city. We don't have a magic bullet over here in Ward 5, either.[/quote]
