I would just invite the other child over to our place, given that they expressed interest in getting together. I wouldn't imply that my child had an invite to their house. If I'm initiating with the other mom, the place that we should meet so that the kids can play is either our house or a park, not their place. Someone did that to me once (saying that the kids wanted to get together and suggesting MY house) and I found it truly offputting. [/quote]
