My mother is 35 years older than me (I am the youngest of 3) and I still felt she was too old of a grandmother and couldn’t help me with my kids the way I see other younger grandparents doing. I get sad thinking she wouldn’t be here much longer and see my kids graduate from high school. She is now in her 80s and can barely do much. [/quote]

Sounds like your genes suck and you're a parasite looking for free labor from your parents. My mother is 78 and 35 years older than me and does offer help TREMENDOUSLY when I travel forr work taking care of my kids but is also living it up  traveling the world.  But I would never count on that. [/quote]
