The computer would have to be programmed with metrics for rankings, since these teams mostly don't even play each other. Or do you just want AI to do it, with the hopes that the AI will have seen Rudy?

They got pushed onto the bubble when JMU went 12-1 and own their conference championship, and Tulane went 11-2 and won their conference championship. This pushed them onto the bubble along with other teams that didn't win a championship or didn't play bowl games. JMU and Tulane had better records and won their conferences, so you can't really argue with it.

ND got pushed onto a bubble with other teams that finished 10-2. If you don't want to be having to line up your record versus Miami and Alabama and getting into a conversation about head to heads or strength of schedule, there's an easy way to do that -- win more football games.

Had ND simply beaten Texas A&M they would have earned their way in with no question. They didn't. Next time, win that game.[/quote]
