I actually agree with them that it is dumb to bus a bunch of kids from Wootton and Churchill to Blair. I do think it is worth changing the system to prevent kids from having these crazy bus rides.

However, as you said the way they are proposing doing it is insane. Yes, they are throwing around the word "equity" a lot but they haven't defined what they mean by equity and don't respond to questions about unintended (but predictable) impacts on schools with large populations of Black and Brown students. So no, I don't think they care about racial equity at all, that is not their goal, at best they are trying to create more [b]equal[/b] opportunities for all students but not to address racial inequities.

Really though, Taylor is just trying to make a big splash so he can build his resume for a cushy EdTech job where he will help get kids on screens for more time at school [/quote]
