That question is just staggeringly tone deaf, like the man himself. What does anyone want an elected official to do? To govern and to enact legislation that improves the lives and livlihoods of the people represented by the elected official. To propose a plan on how to reduce crime in ward 3. To investigate why crime rose in ward 3 while dropping elsewhere in the district, etc.  And to show care and concern for the people he represents. [/quote]

If you knew anywhere as much about the supposed problem of “skyrocketing crime in Ward 3” as you seem to believe you do, you would be telling us about that plan right now. But you don’t know anything about it and so all you have to offer is the dumbest platitudes about how your elected official should be doing more about something.

The only person who is going to go to lengths to defend Frumin like you are is Frumin himself or staff.

First of all, t[b]he site I quote is the official DC government site.[/b] Yours has unidentifiable ownership and a mailing address in Iceland.

So let's use the actual official DC government crime data (as I did previously and do again below) to track the crime trajectory along the Connecticut Avenue/Van Ness Corridor during Mr. Frumin's tenure.

[b]Jan 1 2023 v Jan 1 2022[/b]
[b]222 [/b]overall crime cases (Jan 1 2023) vs [b]215 [/b]cases on Jan 1 2022.  That's an i[b]ncrease of 3 percent.[/b]  OK, so maybe people could live with this small increase. So, let's look at the next year.

Now we have 339 overall crime cases v 222 on Jan 1 2023 (and vs. 215 on Jan. 1 2022).

We have 362 overall crime cases vs. 339 a year earlier. So that's [b]a 6.8 percent increase on top of the previous year's 52 percent increase. [/b]

And finally, [b]crime cases went from 215 a year on Jan. 1, 2022 to 362 a year on Jan. 1 2025[/b]. That's [b]a 68 percent increase in crime cases[/b], which I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we can indeed call that "[b]skyrocketing.[/b]"
