How can I help my daughter understand that it’s okay to have different views, and how can I help the kids stop treating her friend this way?

Yes, I'm ok with losing friends.

Look, I have family and friends who voted for Trump and I 100000% think less of them. I especially think less of the people who use their religious beliefs as a weapon and to vote for such a vile, wicked, immoral man. Some of them I cannot avoid (like my family members) so I just refuse to debate them. Period. No exceptions.  For the friends, it's mostly the same but a few have been lost (whether initiated by me or them) and I'm ok with that given the line in the sands for them and the hatred spewing from their mouths. We obv have nothing in common anymore so, girl bye.[/quote]

Same here. It's one thing to differ over tax rates and foreign policy. It's quite another to differ over basic tenents of democracy and intentionally killing migrants. [/quote]
