Bucknell, Lafayette and Lehigh will weather the demographic cliff. Their endowments are healthy. They are known in the East Coast population centers. While they probably do not attract large amounts of kids from the growing population centers of Texas  and Florida, they probably have kids from those states. Their engineering programs are solid as well.

I do agree that St. Lawrence, Hobart and Union type schools are in a tough spot. I have a neighbor who opted for a lower SEC School over one of those schools. The reasons cited were weather and perceived campus environment. (I live in the tri-state area.) That choice would have been unheard ten years ago.[/quote]
