Americans are playing and having been playing college soccer and in professional ranks for decades. No one can find one player at top college or professional levels who started playing soccer at HS age. There are several examples of basketball and football players who started at HS ages [/quote] "Top levels" meaning key player on Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, and Bayern Munich, not just some run of the mill pro club.[/quote]
