That's the problem. The people voting for him have no idea what he stands for or what he has done. Some people like rent freezes (which are a horrible idea). Other than that they have no clue. But he is young, energetic, charismatic and doesn't have Cuomo and Adams' baggage. Kudos to him for capitalizing on that. But he is not qualified to be mayor at all. Hopefully he will rise to the occasion. Lander is not great either though at least he has some experience. What he did with the schools in Brooklyn is awful.[/quote]

You are missing that many people who support him are willing to try anything (even if it doesn’t succeed) and are sick of the status quo. Same reason Trump was elected and say gains in 2024.[/quote]

Yup. And electing Trump has worked out really well. Do these people learn? People whine about how bad their lives are and don't realize how good they actually have it. It shows how bad our educational system is. And I don't think it will get any better under Mamdani.[/quote]
