PP, if the student has an IEP, and there are goals for the behaviors you described, the school is limited in what consequences can be given, especially if it’s a result of the student’s disability. The school is tasked with determining the cause of the behavior and providing interventions to address the triggers of the behavior, and those should not be punitive.[/quote]
