That video is bonkers in part because they are supposed to be promoting planet Hollywood and Alec goes on forever about how cool planet Hollywood was in the 80s when it first opened (which is true) and the obvious implication is that he has to explain that because now it’s just a dumb Times Square chain restaurant for tourists that no celebrity would ever voluntarily patronize.  It’s like when a grandpa is prattling on with some story that’s just totally offensive to the guests or hosts and you’re trying to figure out where it’s going and if you need to  spill something to interrupt him.[/quote]
