I've never seen an ENCL player or other high level player cut from a roster unless the coach doesn't know what they are doing. Now there are lots of bad HS soccer coaches, who are just clocking checks, but there are also lots of good ones too. If your kid can ball, a good coach won't care about their mile time. But if your player isn't as skilled or technical with the ball, a coach might use the players time in the mile as the deciding factor for the last few players to select for a roster spot. It's a stupid metric for a soccer player, but it's still used. [/quote]
