Why don't people (mostly MAGA ) understand this??  Trump negotiated and signed that deal.  The deal he is now breaking.

How the hell does he get to just say  "this is not good, it's very unfair" and ignore it?  WHY is nobody holding him accountable?

Fixing it would be re-notiating it.  If it's that unfair why did he sign it?  He thought he was brilliant when he signed it.

Who says that fixing it would be renegotiating it?  Please cite the law of the universe that says fixing it requires renegotiation.

It doesn’t matter why he signed it. What matters is fixing it. Canada did not have to impose its tariffs under the trade deal, right?  Canada has  chosen to pull its levers by imposing its tariffs. The USA can pull its levers by imposing its tariffs. Canada knew American Presidents can impose tariffs when it signed the trade deal. If this is so unfair and not good to Canada why did Canada sign the trade deal full well knowing that POTUS can impose other tariffs?  Countries are permitted to and should act in their best interests and determined by their leaders.

Your side is so worried about the law. Well, Trump is exercising his legal authority by imposing tariffs Canadians knew could be imposed when the trade deal was signed.[/quote]
