That's pretty gross.  If you want to get rid of the guy for his poor leadership and performance, then do it with some decency.  To publicly blame an employee as responsible for a scandal, (or to create a scandal in the absence of one) to ruin an employee's reputation is gross.

It is not a smear campaign if the person did in fact fail in the ways they are being accused of. Doug, to my knowledge, has not been accused of anything false.[/quote]
