The plot of the musical has never made much sense. It's a mashup of disparate elements from the Baum books, the movie, the Maguire book, and some other stuff. And even though the movie spends much more time on the Act I storyline, I think it still has too little character development. [/quote]

I would have liked a little more character development to support that fast transition from enemy to BFF. But to give credit, there were hints that the two main characters understood each other better than the people around them [/quote]
