It's interesting how aggressive the daytime recliners are here. As the studies have shown, it's only a small percentage of travelers that will recline in coach on a daytime flight. Most people all understand that we're temporarily sharing a small space together and are mindful of each other's well-being. But the daytime recliners - as we can see here - are genuinely belligerent, anti-social, have no empathy, and are basic a%%holes. And revel in it. Would be interesting to see if there are any academic studies about their various pathologies. Lack of empathy and enjoying other people's anger are usually a sign of serious behavioral issues.
See, if find the anti recliners just as belligerent. And I don’t recline or take overnight flights.
How can someone be belligerent if not saying or doing anything? That makes no sense.
I think PP meant anti-recliners as in “people who think others shouldn’t recline” not as in “people who don’t recline.”
My statement still stands then. Having an opinion is not belligerent, unless you act out based on that opinion.
The Oxford definition is "hostile and aggressive." There are plenty of people on this thread opposed to people reclining, who could be described as "hostile and aggressive." Just look that the ones saying they grab and bump and kick and jostle intentionally every time the person in front of them reclines.
