Yep.... I asked the hys technical director when they were trying to work stuff out if girls td got a bonus for winning the third division of a tournament (the answer was no).  The coaches response was why do you have a problem xxx didn't have any playing time issues all season.  Completely missing how rediculous it is to win a 3rd division U-9 tournament with guest players (13 mind you when the limit for the tournament was 12, that was a big distraction during the final) so your players can get (not earn) a medal and post it on Facebook 🤷 as look a girls team finally did something. Building a program by recruiting, winning and recruiting more. Wouldn’t be the first youth coach to try this strategy. And it was tried and tested by this particular coach multiple times at other clubs already. Ultimate shortcut to winning and job advancement. Can’t really blame him as it is effective because parents just want to win. [/quote]
