I really don't see a problem with the multiple albums. Most kids just stream music, which you can do for free. I have listed to the whole thing twice including repeats on demand for free on pandora with some ads. People buying albums are collectors or want the art. So they would PREFER more.
I feel like she screwed over her fans who preordered the album on iTunes who now have to pay twice for the same songs (12.99 + 14.99) when they could have had them all for 14.99. Like she needs more money.
Can someone explain this to me. They are two different albums. They aren’t the same songs. Explain it like I’m 5.
They can’t explain it to you because they don’t understand it. They think people are mad because she release two albums, but that’s not it it. Here’s an excerpt from an article Explain why people are mad… Taylor Swift’s forthcoming album The Tortured Poets Department will be released on four different-coloured vinyl editions, each of them containing a different bonus track to incentivise fans to buy all four.
It’s clever marketing. She knows kids will force their poor parents to by all four. I bet there isn’t any discernible difference. One is more acoustic, the other is Hq, the other has more photos of Taylor , and the other has a personal message. Am I right?
Force their poor parents? If it were up to my kids they’d probably eat chipotle and Chick-fil-A every day. But I’m the parent so I get to decide that’s not best. No one is forced to buy multiple albums folks. Just like there’s no reason for me to have like 4 pairs of jeans. I’m sure some company somewhere is manipulating me, but ultimately I can stop the madness.
Right? Not to mention, the vast majority of her listeners are adults, not kids.
Taylor 14 when she started and now 33. So the teens when she started would be about her age now. And the teens of today are jumping on the bandwagon. Some say her music sounds the same, maybe so, but that’s why both adults and teens buy her albums. Compare Adele’s album of Hello to her latest and I probably won’t buy another one of her albums. Too far from the sound I like and expected.
