No way. She’s so so far removed from that. She only dated him to get a music career started since she couldn’t sing ballads well enough to be a vocalist ,  and doesn’t know enough Spanish to be a  Latin singer,  and was too old for the teen bubblegum pop wave.  She needed a style and since she could dance and being from the Bronx hip hop flavor with pop/R&B/Latin mixes became her thing and Diddy was the guy to make that happen. In retrospect, it's kinda looking like JLo and Diddy's relationship was a fake P.R. ship. At the time they shared the same manager, some allegedly gay man named Benny, who has also been accused of vile behavior.

Benny also managed Will Smith and Mariah Carey.

There’s a famous Mariah and J Lo feud as well because at the time, Newly divorced Mariah was releasing album after album to be released from Sony Columbia. Tommy Mottolla, her ex husband , signed J Lo and gave J Lo some instrumentals meant for Mariah. Sony Pictures put out Glitter and he was behind the scenes sabotaging Mariah : pushing the movie to developmental hell a few times,  pushing/paying  bad reviews of the movie, and using  people  to spy on Mariah and her love interests. One of those spies and his good friends is Diddy. That’s why Mariah went crazy.
