Basically, a face that's pretty because it's regular, even, and proportional, with solid bone structure to give it definition.  Sort of a Greek sculpture ideal.  Grace Kelly is a great example.  Women like Elizabeth Taylor, Emmanuelle Beart, Catherine Deneuve, Gal Gadot, and Halle Berry also come to mind.

Other looks can also be beautiful--in some cases, a strong feature that isn't classically beautiful can make a face quite arresting and attractive--but that's usually what's meant by a reference to a classic beauty.

This is the right definition. And Amal clooney, jacky Kennedy, audrey or Katherine hepburn or even angelina jolie dont fit in that definition. They are seen by most people as striking beauties but they are not "classic" some of their features are out of balance. WHich is part of what makes them even more beautiful for a lot of peole and also what means that there will be people who will say "ugh no way they are ugly: too angulous, bulging eyes, too wide forehead etc.."

Noone will say grace kelly is ugly. She is objectively a beauty. Some can find her boringly beautiful though and lacking a certain je ne sais quoi.. [/quote]
