What field space? Are you referring to the one with 4 teams practicing together at the same time?
SYC parent... just having the fields in Springfield is a huge plus. With multiple kids, just couldn't do the many practices a week in Mclean or surrounding clubs (except maybe Brave). Great opportunity for the girls...

WOW, only 4 teams practicing together on the same field. I would love that. I've seen 6 and 7 different age groups (boys and girls) practicing together on the same field at SYC, with ages ranging between U9-U15. If you are not on the top teams at SYC, your kid will get left behind in development. And even the top teams suffer because of a lack of field space. They tell you that they are developing the players quick decision making and reactions, which is important and should be part of the training curriculum that encompasses more aspects of the game. For instance, it is impossible to teach team defense on 1/7th of a field. On the boys side, I've noticed that the majority of the MLS players are developed by other clubs (Mananas United, for instance) and then they just show up once a week for practice and come out for games. If you decide to join up with the SYC GA teams, Good Luck!!
