I attended graduate classes at SPEA, I ended up not doing so hot. I worked 3 jobs and tried to go college - I ended up with a 2.995 and being forced out. Ouch! // I luckily moved across country at ended up a graduate program at Kansas State University (sure a bit smaller) which provided me with a strong suite of technical writing, public policy writing, grant writing, data analysis, and such. Instead of reading the Bowling Alone and talking about in a lecture hall for three hours, UNL has students look at data on how Bowling Alone affects them, compile the SDOH data, and then develop an action plan (that can be sent to policy holders) to remedy this issue. I am much more happier in the program designing, data coordination, and writing skills, I have gained from the program. [/quote]
