We have a happily uninformed citizenry who will consider this another thing happening in far off Washington. Meanwhile, my intelligent, college-educated friend will continue to tell me how impressed she is that I know "all this stuff." My job involves foreign policy, so being informed on that front just makes me competent. The rest of the "stuff" I learn by picking up a newspaper and paying attention to what's going on. She could do the same. She certainly has more free time than I do.[/quote]
