Not everyone's OCD presents the same way. I have a relative who's OCD is all about things that have been set down on surfaces and is constantly putting things in the dishwashers (they have to have more than one).[/quote]

I know that not everyone’s OCD presents the same way and there certainly are people with OCD who require order. My point was that people shouldn’t be diagnosing the MIL based on that behavior alone - there is a lot more to OCD. People with OCD can act like the MIL and people without OCD can too. It can be a very debilitating disorder and Op has given no indication that her MIL has this. [/quote]
