[/quote] I suppose that works for some. I seeded our lawn every year for the first four years without much progress so I've haven't bothered lately. Lousy soil, too much shade and too much kid and bike traffic leave me with crab grass, wild onions, dandilions, some random grass-like things and some sections of actual turf. After the kids move out and I earn $50k more than I do now, I'll get around to actually preparing the soil, aerating it and growing some nice grass. And I won't permanently park a car in the front yard like that other guy on the street. The key to feeling good about living in a non-HOA neighborhood is not being the WORST guy on the block.[/quote]
