A weed-filled lawn would piss me off because it reflects poorly on the neighborhood.
How does it reflect poorly? IMO, those flags warning people to stay off the lawn due to recent pesticide applications reflect poorly on a neighborhood. Why spray crap all over the lawn and then warn people that they can't play on it? WTF is the point of having a lawn then?
Exactly! Plus some weeds are quite pretty. We get some great purple "weed" flowers and those yellow buttercups. Let me guess, the poster who got all anal about lawns and how it reflects on the neighborhood... a.) Has no children b.) Has children and doesn't give a fuck about the possibility of neurological damage from pesticides. Keeping up appearances are everything and if the children suffer we will just hide them in the closet. c.) Is elderly and doesn't realize that the pesticides of today are dangerous and most people don't have time to pick weeds daily or even once a week. d.) Plans to sell their house soon and cares more about getting every possible dollar than the health of their neighbors.
