These schools are easier to get into than West Point

West Point (10%, SAT AVG: 1300)
Georgetown University (12%, SAT AVG: 1450
Emory University (13%, SAT AVG: 1435)
Middlebury College (13%, SAT AVG: 1445)
New York University (13%, SAT AVG: 1440)
University of Southern California (13%, SAT AVG: 1440)
Carnegie Mellon University	(14%, SAT AVG: 1510)

The service academies don't let you in just because you scored well on one test. The standards are very, very different at the academies.
