Both police officers shot him. This suggests that they were simultaneously reflexively responding to some type of movement he made or action he took. This was not one random officer who lost his cool or was out to shoot someone. It was two people who felt that the situation merited the same response. I support our fairfax police and the rest of you can crawl back into your slum hole in DC. [/quote]

I live in Fairfax Co. and I support the police officers too (including with my tax dollars), but I don't support escalating things to the point where someone gets shot over stealing a pair of sunglasses. [/quote]

He got shot for suddenly spinning around and pointing something at the police, after leading them on a foot chase and ignoring all their commands.

He did not get shot “for shoplifting.”
