[/quote] I know what you mean by the new tipping culture with the option on a screen at every place that sells food but tipping on take out orders has been normal for many years. When I worked in a popular full service restaurant about 20 years ago there were typically two staff handling to go orders, taking the order on the phone, completely packaging it and making sure all food items and condiments, etc were there and then taking it to the person's car or to the person waiting by the door. They were paid the same as servers, they worked for tips, and they worked hard.
