My spouse is left of center. I’m right of center. She’s a D. I’m a R. She agrees and disagrees with parts of her party platform. I agree and disagree with parts of mine. We’ve been happily married for 18 years. We’ve never allowed politics and the ideological echo chambers out there to drive a wedge between us. Marriage is more than about politics.
So... who won the 2020 election? I'm in a marriage like this, and if my spouse starts spouting of Fox nonsense about how there was ballot stuffing (but with no proof produced by any side), I'd have to question how gullible they are.
You assume incorrectly that all registered Republicans subscribe to the propaganda of Fox News or live in a manufactured echo chamber.
Then where are you guys? I've voted for Bush, McCain, Romney. But I can identify when something has run off the rails. You centrists have lost your party. The anti-Americans are in control.
I used to be a republican too--I'm the pp who warned that the republican guy is not dealing with reality right now. He must think I am a rapid liberal, but I voted for Bush too. I would have voted for McCain if Hillary had run against him. I don't totally agree with Romney but he's one of the only decent moral Republicans left. Dude, unless you live in Maryland and send your kids to private school (or have your wife imprisoned at home) she is going to be thinking about getting the heck out of there in the next 5 or so years. You might be reasonable, but the Republican party is going full Catholic / Evangelical Taliban very slowly and you don't even seem to notice.
